Ingredients

  • "1 cup cornmeal"

  • "1 tsp baking powder"
  • "1/2 tsp salt"
  • "1 tbsp sugar optional",
  • "1 cup buttermilk"
  • "1 egg"
  • "2 tbsp vegetable oil or melted butter"
  • "Oil for frying"

Instructions
