Flourless Chocolate Cake

Ingredients

  • - 1/2 cup 115g unsalted butter
  • - 1 cup 170g semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • - 3/4 cup 150g granulated sugar
  • - 1/4 tsp salt
  • - 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • - 3 large eggs
  • - 1/2 cup 40g unsweetened cocoa powder

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 375°F (190°C). Grease an 8-inch round cake pan and line the bottom with parchment paper.
  • In a saucepan over low heat, melt the butter and chocolate together, stirring until smooth.
  • Remove from heat and stir in the sugar, salt, and vanilla extract.
  • Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
  • Sift in the cocoa powder and stir until just combined.
  • Pour the batter into the prepared pan and bake for 25 minutes.
  • Let the cake cool completely before removing from the pan.
  • Dust with powdered sugar or top with whipped cream before serving.

Notes

- For a more intense flavor, use dark chocolate chips.
- Pairs perfectly with fresh berries or vanilla ice cream.
